Joy Kirigo is a Kenyan-born, London-based screenwriter specializing in character-driven stories about identity, displacement, and systems of power.

A graduate of the MA Screenwriting program at the University of the Arts London, she works across comedy and drama, exploring how external forces—viral culture, gentrification, institutional hierarchies—reshape people against their will. Her projects center characters fighting to remain recognizable to themselves when the world demands they become someone else.

Joy currently serves as Editorial Content Officer at Central Saint Martins while developing film and television projects for UK audiences.
